Ms. Mayo’s experience spans executive & board of director compensation, employment agreements, change-in-control, annual & long-term incentive plan design, and litigation support, among other topics. She’s a Certified Compensation Professional with more than 3 decades of compensation experience.  

She’s extensively consulted with private, public, and not-for-profit companies. Additionally, Ms. Mayo has extensive experience in corporate human resources, with a specific emphasis on financial and analytics metrics analysis. Ms. Mayo volunteers time for several compensation non-profits and since 2007, she has served as a faculty member for WorldatWork.

Ms. Mayo’s approach leverages the drivers of human and organizational performance to align with the company’s business strategy.  Prior to becoming a consultant, Ms. Mayo served as the Head of Compensation for Brinker International (parent company of Chili’s Bar & Grill).  At, Brinker, Ms. Mayo’s led the team primarily responsible for operations compensation, incentive design, data analysis, HRIS, modeling and compliance. 

Over the past 30 years, Ms. Mayo has championed pay equity internally for the companies where she worked and externally for the clients she has served.  She has analyzed equity compliance and conducted equity training and served as litigation support hundreds of times and considers this area a passion.  Ms. Mayo has an MBA from Centenary College and a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the Louisiana State University in Shreveport.  Ms. Mayo is a frequent guest lecturer at the Texas Total Rewards Conference & World at Work events in the areas of compensation, equitable pay, legislation and compliance and rewards strategy.
